Sweep-netting plants and aspirating individual insect specimens (Miridae). Specimen are preserved in ethanol for molecular work. A given plant bug species is typically very abundant on a given host plant specimen (dozens to hundreds of individuals) and only a small number (5-15) per specimens will be collected.
