We plan to visit a fen SSW of the main station buildings (Lat/Lon: 39.42829, -120.24417) to scout for nymphs of the dragonfly Tanypteryx hageni. Faerthen Felix noted a possible location on iNaturalist for T. hageni nymphs here. I would make a day trip on Wednesday October 23rd along with Ethan Tolman, a former PhD student who is now a postdoc at Virginia Tech. We would visit this location to confirm the presence of the nymphs. If we can confirm, we would like to collect 2-3 individuals for population genetic work. We would likely be on site for 2-3 hours.
