A 5 day Fire Effects Monitoring training workshop that is open to everyone in the community that is interested in prescribed fire, fire ecology, and learning more about fire effects in their local landscape. Focusing on fire in the Northern Sierras and with field trips to various local areas to highlight some of the work to date with the co-development of the cultural resource monitoring with the Washoe Tribe and the “Western science” studies. Using both indoor and outdoor classroom spaces for discussions and learning. October 5-11 are the dates.
