Collect a specimen of Oak Titmouse (Baeolophus inornatus) for high quality tissue samples to be used for a reference genome. This project is an extension of the California Conservation Genomics Project, in collaboration with Professor Rauri Bowie. We plan to do whole genome sequencing for over 160 individuals of Oak and Juniper titmice, but need a good quality reference genome. We may collect a few other birds as well for other genomic projects. The specimen(s) will be collected using a shotgun.
