Team members will be setting up Malaise and pitfall traps upon arrival. These traps will be left overnight and collected the next day. Soil will be collected from the pitfall trap holes for eDNA analyses. Water from the Barn Pond near be filtered to collect eDNA, with all water returned to the site immediately. If conditions allow, we will collect aquatic invertebrates from the seasonal creek following the statewide SWAMP protocol. If possible, 2 - 3 cups of damp leaf litter will be sifted for invertebrates.
