I will be hosting a cohort of emerging leaders visiting from outside the San Joaquin Valley who are currently engaged in a service-learning curriculum with a focus on the U.S. National Park Service. As part of their educational experience, they intend to visit Yosemite National Park tomorrow, June 21st, to engage in an applied learning activity centered on national park operations, conservation practices, and natural resource stewardship. This visit will serve as a field-based extension of their academic inquiry into public lands management, ecosystem preservation, and the role of federal agencies in environmental conservation. The group will consist of approximately 11 participants traveling in a caravan of about three vehicles. The purpose of this visit is purely educational, fostering a deeper understanding of conservation principles, nature conservancy, and the multifaceted responsibilities of the National Park Service.
