Our education team is working with 5th–8th grade students from El Nido Elementary's summer program. We are requesting permission to visit Yosemite National Park for a guided educational experience focused on water quality, conservation, and environmental science on Friday, June 27, 2025. This visit directly supports the learning goals of our summer program, which focuses on place-based environmental education. By exploring Yosemite’s natural water systems and conservation efforts, students will deepen their understanding of local water quality issues and how they connect to broader ecological systems. This real-world experience reinforces classroom lessons on water sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the importance of protecting natural resources key topics in our program for students in Merced County
