This event will be for two university-affiliated individuals (and a minor child) to have a work retreat. Jason Rothman is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UC Irvine, Stephanie Marin Rothman is a Lecturer at Cal Poly Pomona University. They will collaborate on a project involving urban undergraduate students and "You-Pick" assignments for courses. These assignments encourage students to leave the classroom and have an individual experience in a natural setting and write a report about what they did and how it impacted them in their non-major biology courses. The two individuals will also collaborate on finishing existing manuscripts in the inspirational setting of the Yosemite Field Station.
