We plan to conduct an academic activity focused on both field learning experiences for our students and allowing them to develop their leadership and advocacy skills surrounding climate and sustainability issues. We tentatively plan on spending a day in the valley having our students learn from hydrologists, a day in the Wawona area having our students learn from foresters, and a day at the facility having our students present cases regarding climate policy, integrating their prior learning experiences. This schedule is highly adaptable based on weather and current conditions: if it's storming, we'll have a climatologist present. Our aim is to give our students an experiential learning opportunity.
