We will be using the UC Merced housing in Wawona to support our fisher trapping and collaring efforts in the southern end of Yosemite, specifically around Fish Camp, Wawona, and highway 41 just north of Wawona. The housing will be used to house the fisher crew on work nights to reduce drive time to allow more field work to be accomplished during our 10-hour work days.
