This project would sample dragonfly nymphs from waterbodies and spiders from the shorelines of waterbodies both on the reserve (e.g., ponds, lakes and creeks) within Yosemite National Park. These spiders and dragonflies would be analyzed for Hg to assess the correlation of Hg concentrations int he 2 organisms and to estimate risk of Hg to these food webs. This project is in collaboration with the National Parks and USGS as part of the "Dragonfly Mercury Project".
