We will be taking daily field excursions to examine local geological outcrops and paleontological content. All field work will be non-invasive; we won't be collecting or sampling. The goal is for these introductory-level and intermediate-level students to gain experience making disciplined geological observations in a world-class geological setting, and interpreting those observations in terms of the Deep Time history of southern California.
