We are a group of graduate students from the Film & Digital Media department, all interested in sound and image experimentations. We plan on using our time at Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center to capture images and sound recordings of the desert and Salton Sea that can we can later incorporate in our film and video work, as well as to write collectively to reflect on the representation of this landscape in media/art. This opportunity would allow us time to collectively process our own experiences and work in a relevant space.
