The courses for the Winter 2024 class are: MMW14 Divergent Paths to the Modern World & MMW122 Exploring the Modern World Lower-division students sign up for MMW14 and upper-division students for MMW122, but the course is otherwise the same. The course is part of a general education (MMW14) and graduation (MMW122) requirement at UC San Diego. MMW stands for Making of the Modern World program which is a general education/graduation requirement for all students enrolled at Eleanor Roosevelt College (ERC) at UC San Diego. There are more than 5,000 ERC student.
