Bouragaoui, Zakher@Parks (Zakher.Bouragaoui@parks.ca.gov), temporary CDD research environment hired for summer 2023 field work with lizard survey, is co-founder and VP of of the Tunisian Association for Wildlife. He is a researcher with a Master of Science in Evolutionary Ecology from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, Tunisia. He is also a Fulbright grantee who finished his second Master of Science in Wildlife Ecology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His research path started with the study of reptiles and amphibians in the North African region, notably lacertid lizards. Recently, his focus expanded to include the use of soundscapes and acoustic indices to study birds’ richness in the forests of the Sierra Nevada region, California.
