Team members will be setting up a Malaise trap with five pitfall traps near the UCM weather station on Tuesday July 8th. Soil from setting the pitfall traps will be collected for eDNA analyses. Using a battery-powered water pump, we will filter up to 2L of water from Barn Pond to collect eDNA. All water will be returned to the site immediately after filtering. The team will leave the reserve and return on Thursday July 10th to collect the traps.
