During this visit, the team plans to conduct a controlled release experiment of methane gas for the purpose of testing the CH4Drone measurement system and algorithm to estimate the emission source rate, and emission source location. The anticipated emission source rate shall not exceed 10 SCFH (which is approximately equivalent to the methane production of 20 cows). The experiment is planned to be completed over a 2 hour period, of which, the methane will be released for a couple minutes prior to the drone flight and turned off after. The estimated total time of methane release will be 45min.
