Kendall-Frost Mission Bay Marsh Reserve
17 May, 09 AM - 17 May, 12 PM
Our vision for this event would be to gather artists, crafters, and anyone who is interested into the KFM Field Station for an open space of collaborative crafting. Some of our activities we would like would host is upcycling clothing using stamps that I have made, mending holes in garments, cyanotyping using plants and elements from the outdoors, as well as an opportunity for participants to come to the front and present their niche art interest in hopes of getting other people inspired in sharing this passion (using the projector if needed). Additionally we would love to incorporate the outdoors as well with some birding or marsh walks similarly to Wander the Wetlands Events.
KFM is a great space to invite people into the wetlands to learn about the wonders of these environments while also fostering community among those who have a similar passion for the intersection between art and nature.
If you are interested in collaborating on this event, May 3rd or May 17th from 9:00am-12:00pm would be our proposed dates. The three of us are happy to do all of the set up, event leading, and tear down/clean up. If you would like to have a role during the event we are open to that as well!
