In this visit, I plan three works: (1) data collection of sensors and time-lapse cameras, (2) collection of 1 g of plant (leaf, branch, coarse root, and fine root of creosote bush and brittle bush) and soil (100 cm3) samples for the metabolites and microbiome analyses, (3) 13CO2 labelling and sampling of leaf, stem, roots, and soil of brittle bush to trace the fixed carbon to plant compartment, soil, and microbes living in each compartment.
