I plan to make post-KNP fire observations related to visitor use management by hiking some trail networks in the Giant Forest as well as windshield observations along the General's Highway. I understand there is an effort underway to solicit input on science priorities post-KNP and plan to use this visit to think through visitation related to post-fire landscape. More generally I would like to visit the Wolverton cabin in my capacity on the Reserve Advisory Committee to update myself on conditions there as we consider needs and planning for UCNR-SEKI coordination on infrastructure and education.
