I will be conducting interviews in nearby areas as well as retreating to the reserve to write notes, work on an article manuscript and generate ideas.
The project encompasses the significant agricultural and ecological change inherent to cannabis legalization, where an illegal agrarian activity is being drawn into regulated, legal operation. Understanding these dynamics is key to successful, equitable, and sustainable integration of cannabis into (legal) socio-ecological systems. This question is critical not only to the parks where cannabis has been grown, but to all California residents, as the State navigates one of the trickier policy, social, and environmental shifts in contemporary times.
