The San Diego Area Writing Project hosts Young Writers in Nature for young writers grades 3-6 to explore nature and write. Our program has been taking the campers on a field trip to the Scripps Coastal Reserve to observe the native plants and animals while mapping it on a field guide map. The camp hopes to be an opportunity for students to satisfy their innate curiosity by learning how the world works through the exploration of our natural world.
