Scripps Coastal Reserve

The BILD 4: Intro to Biology course instructor, instructional assistants, staff and students will visit the Scripps Coastal Reserve. Under supervision of the instructor, instructional assistants will identify 2-4 native and invasive plants, by observation, along the Knoll Trail.
Groups of 24 students will be led by instructional assistants along the Knoll Trail to observe the different plant species under which the soil samples were obtained. No manipulation of the environment or species are planned, and no species are expected to be introduced beyond general human traffic. Each tour will last approximately 1 hour and will occur between 9am and 5pm.
