Ano Nuevo Island Reserve

14 Jul, 12 PM - 16 Jul, 12 PM

Team members will be setting up Malaise and pitfall traps at the weather station upon arrival on July 14th. These traps will be left overnight, for two nights, and collected on July 16th. Soil (~20mL) will be collected from the pitfall trap holes for eDNA purposes. Water from the Visitor Center Pond or Bickford Pond will be filtered to collect eDNA, with all water returned to the site immediately. We will also collect aquatic invertebrates from the Green Oaks Creek following the statewide SWAMP protocol, if possible. If conditions allow, 2 - 3 cups of damp leaf litter will be sifted for invertebrates.
