Ano Nuevo Island Reserve

This site visit with former SFSU student, and current UC Santa Cruz PhD candidate, Salma Abdel-Raheem will mark the culmination of the management of marine resources segment of our class. Salma, who will have given a talk to the class the week prior about her current work at Ano Nuevo, will take us through her study site and discuss in greater detail the work she is doing there. Through our site visit, students will see first hand the complexities of field work in a marine/coastal setting, as well as the value of field work when it comes to informing marine resource management policy. No environmental manipulations are required or desired for this visit.
