Researcher Info: Documenting Study Site Alterations with Wildnote
As part of your visit to Sedgwick Reserve, please complete a quick Wildnote© survey whenever you alter a study site—such as installing or removing equipment, flagging locations, fencing, digging, seeding, or any other research-related changes or material removals. Be sure to include accurate GPS locations (available inside the Wildnote form) for all activities. You can pick up the Sedgwick Reserve iPad from the Tipton Meeting House to complete your survey, and we recommend watching the instructional video available on our website before your visit.
This helps reserve staff track on-the-ground activity, supports coordination across research projects, and ensures we maintain accurate site records. It also benefits you: we can provide your recorded metadata in PDF, KML, GDB, or XLSX formats for your own research use.
Thanks for supporting responsible research practices at Sedgwick!
